At 3-years old your child is working hard to play with -instead of alongside- other kids, is testing her problem-solving abilities and is learning how to share and take turns. Games (that adults find entertaining too!) make an entrance into their favored activities. It will take time for them to play according to the rules but it is a good age to introduce games in whatever form they take. If you have multiple children, games are a great way for kids to work together to “solve” the game and any problems that arise during game play. They find playing a game without a grown-up very empowering.
